2008 Bead and Button Show Website
I know it’s almost Christmas, but I’m already talking to my husband about our summer vacation plans, and I’m trying to convince him that the 2008 Bead and Button Show might be the perfect trip! It’s being held from June 1, 2008 through June 8, 2008 at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! It is advertised as the largest bead show in the United States and it held annually by the company which publishes Bead&Button, BeadStyle, and Art Jewelry magazines.
I’m sure the show will be great, but even if you can’t make it there, you can visit the 2008 Bead and Button Show website which is pretty incredible, too! If that site doesn’t sell you on how much amazing information, fun and bead jewelry there is going to be at the show, nothing will!
They have extensive information about the show including comprehensive schedules, information for vendors, plenty of class information, a plethora of maps, travel information for Milwaukee and the surrounding area, money-saving coupons for admission and even a daily count-down which ticks off how many days are left until the show begins! There’s a ton to see at the site, which just makes me want to go to the show all the more!
You can even get a lot out of the show’s website, even if you’re not planning to attend this year. There are some short bead show videos which teach you a few things which could be applied to ANY bead show you attend, not just this one. There are a lot of small articles disbursed throughout the site which show you beads and jewelry from past years which include all sorts of helpful tips and tricks. I stumbled across a nice simple and straightforward article about how to photograph your jewelry. There’s even a forum set up just for the show, but it’s still a little quiet there. I suspect that people will start asking questions and posting information after the holidays and when the show is a little closer on the calendar.

I would SO love to go to the B&B show in Milwaukee, particularly for the lampwork bead artists and jewelry design classes, but I hear it is quite crowded and chaotic. One of these days I’ll get up to B&B!
