Another Great Virtual Beadboard on the Web!

Today we have another Virtual Bead Board on the web. Those of you who are regular readers will remember that we featured the FireMountain Gems Virtual Bead Board a while ago. “Virtual” bead boards allow you to actually design jewelry pieces on your computer screen using images of beads that you can buy but don’t have in inventory. The advantage is that you don’t have to buy lots and lots of beads in hopes of being inspired. With these virtual bead boards you can be inspired before you purchase anything!

This latest virtual bead board is the Pearlygates.net Project Board and it’s a pretty good, if slightly complex, bead jewelry project designer. Don’t try to just bounce into this virtual jewelry designer without watching some of the help videos found on the front page, though. There really is a lot of really neat tools in here, but they take a little bit of getting used to.

This isn’t quite like a regular jewelry bead board, but rather it gives you a totally blank canvas and allows you to pick your beads from drawers, rotate and move around your items, delete what you don’t like, group beads together and even save and load previous designs.

While this virtual bead board may not be for everyone, it definitely can give you some great ideas before you hit your local bead store!
