I had no idea how “big” a business the bead business was until I read this very interesting article at the NewJournal Online about the amazing profit potential from opening a bead business. This article is fascinating just because it actually mentions real numbers, including income potential and growth numbers.
For example:
- The story briefly mentions how a bead store owner cleared $100,000 in sales in her first two months!
- A survey conducted by Interweave Press indicates a 41% increase in bead stores between 1997 and 2003!
- Selling loose beads turns out to be a very lucrative venture, even more so than actually selling the jewelry!
Those are amazing numbers and really puts a positive spin on the little hobby we call bead jewelry!
