Thanks for a very informative read. I have been making jewelry for many years as one of many creative exploits when not teaching art. I have been very happy to give my pieces away as gifts to friends and selling a few on the side to help buy materials. Recenently ill health retired, beading will be now my only source of cash so I need to outlay considerabley more money that I have in the past. Not having a techno-business brain I realy appreciate that an ausie geek is considerate enough to organise us arty fartys and put a program together. We use Bead Manager Pro and it works well. Also, it is available for the Mac, something which most other beading programs are not. Our queries have been taken care of quickly and Gary has stayed with us when we’ve had problems. We live in Texas, U.S., and response time from Australia hasn’t made any difference.

We have done several upgrades since you purchased Bead Manager Pro and worked out many of the initial bugs (not an easy task, just ask Microsoft about Windows Vista, need I say more)

If you don't like counting a million beads, but you do need help with accurately costing and pricing your jewelry. Take a look at BeadBizBooks. It will make you look professional with marketing materials, track your consignments and sales, and help at tax time at half the price.

There is another software product on the market now which is half the price of Jewelry Design Managers deluxe version and still has all the features. Its called Bead Manager Pro and is available here! I think its great and very simple to use.
