Bead Trade: A New Board Game For Bead-A-Holics!

The Bead Trade Board game will make trading beads exciting and fun!
This is one of those ideas that makes you say, “Why didn’t I think of this?!”
The online version of the Wisconsin Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter is carrying a story about a new board game that is all about, you guessed it, collecting and trading beads! The news story shares how the whole idea got started:
“It was 4:45 in the morning on May 14, 2006, and I was dreaming about this bead game,” said Hannah Braun-Allen, the creator of Bead Trade.
…
“I ran downstairs and got the art book I used in high school,” Braun-Allen recalled. “I started drawing a bead game with bead words.”
The $24.95 board game includes 89 bead terms like string, soft glass, turquoise and kiln. An element of risk is involved because the game requires players to ante-up beads from their own personal collections with winner-take-all of each round.
Amazing stuff! The game will include 6 Game Boards, 89 Yellow Marker Disks, & 1 Free Space Disk, 500 Blue Marker Disks, 1 Bead Board, 1 Nylon Bag, 6 assorted Beads (which will vary in each game) and 1 Tracking Board. It’s recommended for 2 to 6 players between the ages of 12 to Adult. Yes, I think men can even play! LOL! From what I’ve read the game is set up so players can even use their OWN beads during the game to trade back and forth! I think it will sell for a retail price of $24.95.
Even more exciting, it looks like the game will be available for the Christmas and holiday season! This is one heck of a unique Christmas gift for a bead jewelry fanatic. The Bead Smith-Helby Inc. company will be promoting, selling and distributing the game to 3,400 retail stores and locations in the U.S. and 33 other countries. It should be available at www.beadnik.com and Beadnik franchises by Thanksgiving!
