I don’t know much about Cynthia Newcomer Daniel, but I do know that her CND Jewelry Tales Blog is one of the most unique and enjoyable bead jewelry blogs to read and that her jewelry creations are professional in quality and stunning in scope. She’s a real wire and metal artist who has clearly taken her skill to a new level with practice and talent!
Her blog started out like most other bead jewelry blogs back in January of 2007. She originally started the blog as a “Year of Jewelry” for herself and she started posting sharp and colorful photos of the pieces she was creating about once every four or five days. The early days of her blog really do look like just what she originally intended: a record of some of the pieces she was creating with little descriptions and comments about how she went about designing and creating each piece of jewelry. Her jewelry staging and photos along with the creative and clever names she came up for each piece made every post a joy to read.
But sometime in May of 2007 her detailed descriptions slowly turned into dramatic and passionate scenes of description, sometimes clearly referencing an exotic looking jewelry piece featured in her post and sometimes quietly setting a mood or depicting a moment in time which leaves a feeling that inevitably lends itself to her beautiful metal and gemstone laced jewelry pieces.
Baby Blue is a short paragraph deftly describing a moment in 1959 when a young girl checks herself out in the mirror of her new convertible. Serenity describes a photographer selecting a natural subject in a park north of New York City. Skipping Stones is a conversation between two children looking for stones. But while each short literary vignette has a simple, straight forward meaning there is clearly a poetic and lyrical way Cynthia writes them that adds so much more pleasure and meaning to her jewelry and the stories themselves.
If you fall in love with one of her amazing stories or equally amazing jewelry creations, you can always visit the Jewelry Tales Etsy store and purchase a piece of a beautiful story!

Thank you! I really enjoy making bead jewelry, but it’s almost more fun to find and share the works and talents of others! Thanks for the kind comments! Keep on reading and beading!
