Beautifully Sculpted Lampwork Beads – Firefly Lampwork!
I don’t need to tell you that lots of stunning lampwork beads from all over the world can be found on the Internet. One of the most amazing lampwork bead site I’ve ever come across is Janet Crosby’s Firefly Lampwork!
She’s an artist who was working with bead jewelry a lot before taking a class in 2003 and turning her skills towards making adorable and sophisticated lampwork beads. Most of her beads are not abstract design but rather chickens and fish and dogs and frogs and just about every other sort of animal you can imagine! They’re cute and eye-catching and absolutely captivating all at the same time!
And here’s the best part: she regularly sells her pieces on eBay, so you have a chance to admire and own these custom creations. I’ve been tempted to try using some of her beads in my jewelry, but these beads are so amazing they’d look great on just a simple chain. She’s even had her work featured in a number of very prominent publications. Yes, her beads are really that good!
Her website is a joy to visit with sharp, colorful photos that pull you in. She has a beading blog, some photos of her studio, gallery shots galore and a page featuring her current beads for sale.
If you only visit one lampwork bead site this whole year, make sure it’s Firefly Lampwork!
