I was talking to a non-beading friend the other day about all the different arts and crafts and beading we each do. She is much more into the “art” scene and is actually quite the painter while I’ve pretty much stuck to beading and jewelry-making and a little digital scrap booking from time to time. Now that flea market and yard sale season is here I’m starting to hunt around for deals forgotten pieces of older bead jewelry. I attended an Earth Day conference yesterday and one of the many things that kept being emphasized is our need to use more renewable resources, which are natural resources that can be created or sustained as fast as they are used.
