I became familiar with them about 20 years ago when I began to cross stitch. They had everything for the avid cross stitcher, plus so many great seasonal and decorating items. I understand that they were bought out by another company unfamiliar with the crafts industry. Sounds like the company that bought out my former employer. I quit my job recently as I was getting physically and mentally ill from the stress and pressure. I'm learning that many more are also jumping ship there. Why can't the big companies stay out of industries they don't know anything about? Again, I am so sorry to see Rag Shop go. Certainly Walmart's Craft Department cannot hold a candle to a store that specializes in crafts . . . I, too, am sorry to see Rag Shop stores close.
