Hurry! Only 20 Openings Left for the 2008 Bead Cruise!
Hurry! Spaces for the 2008 Bead Cruise are filling quickly! If you’ve been beading for any period of time then you’ve probably heard about the famous “Bead Cruise” where beaders from all over the country get together for a cruise where they relax, have fun and, of course, do beady things! The cruise has classes and open beading sessions so that no matter what your skill level and no matter what your interest, you’re bound to find something fun to do with beading!
The annual bead cruise is in it’s third year now and this year they are going to be sailing from March 1st to March 6th with an itinerary that sails from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and then on to Georgetown, Grand Cayman! The cruise is on the Royal Caribbean ship The Navigator, so it’s a classy and professional way to enjoy yourself, meet new friends and learn some new bead jewelry skills! Registration for the cruise and the classes fills up quickly, so if you’re on the fence, you should probably try to make a decision soon!
The Bead Cruise is put together by none other than Heather Powers, the Beading Artist behind not just one, but TWO great beading sites – Humble Beads and the Art Bead Scene blog! Her work has been seen on HGTV and in several different beading magazines! This is one talented, hard-working woman! She’s a freelance children’s book illustrator in addition to being a work-at-home mom and dynamite artists and business woman. Is there anything she can’t do?
If you’re interested in learning more about this year’s Bead Cruise you can check out the official Bead Cruise website for information and photos from past years. They even have Bead Cruise Blog which has more detailed information about some of the classes, beading sponsors and events going on.
