Thanks for the information, because my website is not doing so well. I know that there are tons and tons of beaded jewelry websites and mine doesn’t even come close when searching for beaded jewelry. I’ll have to try these other options too.

One more option…there is a site called stylemyneck.com that is great for handmade jewelry! It is kind-of new but if you are interested in having your jewelry featured on the web it is a site that seems to be growing. All you have to do is contact them and they will give you all the info.

I completely agree that there are now A LOT more people making bead jewelry than five years ago.

But like almost any market, there is always that magic between a buyer and seller. I love going to craft shows and even though there are a dozen other bead jewelry artists around the fair ground someone will inevitably buy a bracelet or necklace from me and say, “Oh, this is beautiful! It’s just what I’ve been looking for…”

Great post! Hopefully some people will be able to use the information. I’ve asked some people about their success rate on Etsy, one person has answered me. Her answer mirrors your assessment of more sellers than buyers.

I think what’s happening, sad to say, is the jewelry industry is getting over-saturated. The jewelry-making industry has grown as quickly as the scrapbooking industry. It’s tough competition.
