Finding a new bead shop is like stumbling across a buried treasure!

That’s why I’m excited to tell you about a shop I stumbled across by clicking around websites: The Bead Peddler. They have some amazing beads at just as amazingly low prices. I found some wonderfully unique toggle clasps that I hadn’t seen before and I even picked up some hand-painted beads for a piece I’m working on.

Almost all their bead photos are “real” photos and not just “stock” from some catalog and they almost always photograph their items next to a US Dime so you can get a real sense of the size of the beads. And you won’t find a print catalog from them. The now exclusively list all their beads on the web to save paper and expenses in shipping costs, so you should be able to get some great jewelry sales and deals if you take the time to browse their site.

They sell to the public but they also have wholesale beads, which is great because it means you can buy a large batch of beads if you’re a store or fulfilling an order for someone or you can buy just a few items that you need to finish up a piece for a craft show you may be attending. Their site is not the most beautiful website in the world, but the links work and the organization is top-notch. I’ve been using them for years (though I’ve never visited their store in person) and I’ve always had a good experience. Once you buy jewelry supplies from them you’ll understand why they have so many repeat customers!
