Updated and New Bead Jewelry Sites from The Beading Gem
I’ve written about The Beading Gem’s Journal before, but thought I would give her another write up because she’s been busy!
A few days ago The Beading Gem’s Journal reached their one year anniversary on the internet and celebrated with a brand new visual theme! If you haven’t checked out Pearl’s site lately, you really need to! I was actually pretty surprised that she had only been writing her blog for a year. She has so much content and neat stuff for bead jewelry makers that it seems like she’s been blogging for decades. For her blog’s first anniversary she changed around a couple things and really added some wonderful features!
In addition to new graphics, she’s incorporated some more navigational tools, some great book recommendations and lots and lots of amazing resources. This is all in addition to her tons of posts and thousands of photos of cool bead and wire jewelry made by amateurs and professionals alike. There’s really quite a lot to see and do!
She also just opened up a fun gemstone Squidoo page that concentrates on different places around the world that have Gemstone Names. For example, did you know that there’s a city named Diamond in the following states: Alabama, California, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana,Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri,Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and West Virginia? I’m not sure if I understand the entire Squidoo site, and I always crave calamari when I think about it, but Pearl’s Gemstone Names site does have some neat stuff on it. There’s also trivia and some eBay items and a lot of neat gemstone and jewelry links, photos and even items for sale.
If you like BeadJewelryBlog.com at all, then you’ll love The Beading Gem’s Journal! Give her a visit today!

My daughter asked me to make beaded bookmarks as wedding favors that could also serve as the place cards ? Help ! I am a novice, have made pretty simply bracelets, necklaces etc. Of course we need to be economical. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
